Invitation to the workshop "Energy efficiency law for data centers - all clear?" Pre-announcement for fall 2024
ConSysTech GmbH cordially invites you to an exclusive customer workshop dedicated to the hot topic of the new energy efficiency law for data centers and its consequences for data center operators. As a leading provider of technology solutions for data centers, it is important to us to inform you about the latest developments in this area and to discuss with you strategies and specific measures for implementing the EnEfG in your data center.
Initial situation: The new Energy Efficiency Act presents data center operators with numerous challenges. It is necessary to meet legal requirements, optimize energy consumption and at the same time ensure the operational reliability and performance of data centers. Many operators are faced with the question of how they can implement these complex requirements in practice and which best practices have been established in the industry, especially as the first measures will already take effect in 2024.
Furthermore, Europe-wide efforts are also being made to increase energy efficiency. The European Energy Efficiency Directive (EED) should be mentioned here, which sets out legal requirements for energy efficiency.
- Reduction of operating costs
- Reduction of resource consumption
- Reduction in energy production
- Reduction of C02 emissions
- Reducing dependence on energy imports (e.g. gas from Russia)
as well as targets for 2030 with the aim of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by at least 55% (compared to 1990). As a result, the EU’s total energy consumption should no longer exceed 992.5 million tons of oil equivalent (Mtoe) for primary energy and 763 Mtoe for final energy by 2030.
Topics of the workshop:
- The most important provisions of the new Energy Efficiency Act for data centers: key principles, current status of the debate and outlook on the further process.
- Practical strategies and solutions for complying with legal requirements: Concrete measures and proven methods.
- Experiences and best practices from the industry: How do data center operators deal with the EnEfG, what measures have proven successful so far?
- What impact does this have on my data center? The individual roadmap for your data center. From theory to practice – specific recommendations for action and more.
Target group
The workshop is aimed at participants from both the TGA environment for data centers and the IT environment in order to gain a common overall understanding.
Date
The workshop will take place in fall 2024 and will be coordinated directly with the participants.
Speaker and further information
We were able to attract a top-class data center expert and member of the DIN EN 50600 and ISO 22237 working group as a speaker.
